Malaysia's Python conference, Pycon.my, took place this weekend 24-25 August at Sunway University, near Kuala Lumpur. I presented a tutorial on the Sunday afternoon, with the topic of performance testing with Python and Locust.
Locust is a load testing tool similar to e.g. Gatling or JMeter, but written entirely in Python. The virtual user scripts (known as locustfiles) are also written in Python.
I don't have any connection to Locust, but as a performance tester I think it is a cool tool that deserves to be better known and it was great to have the opportunity to talk about it, and performance testing in general, with the group who joined my tutorial on Sunday.
There were lots of other interesting sessions during the conference and lots of interesting people in attendance. I'm looking forward to next year.
